I think everyone should be a member of their local Home Builders Association. But, I encourage you to get even more involved. Shortly after being elected as an Associate Board of Director, I sat in meetings with multiple builders and was proud to have a job pending with every builder at the table.
The privilege of serving in a leadership position at LHBA has allowed me to give back to the industry that has done so much for me through the years. The relationships that I’ve enjoyed have been incredibly rewarding to me both personally and professionally.
I joined my local HBA back in the 90’s and I have been active on all levels. The state HBA has enlightened me on all the legislative activities on which they advocate for the statewide members. With all of the codes, rules & restrictions that come out of Washington, we need advocates for our businesses. The people associated with LHBA are another wonderful asset: everyone is willing to share information, which helps us all become more successful. I encourage everyone to join their local HBA which then provides full benefits to all 3 associations!
